On August 11-12, 2014, Leonard Segal and Jon Schindel Presented at Minnesota CLE’s 10th Annual Strategic Solutions for Solo & Small Firms Conference

On August 11-12, 2014, Minnesota Continuing Legal Education held its 10th Annual Strategic Solutions for Solo & Small Firms Conference in Duluth, Minnesota.  As has been the case for most of the ten years, Lenny Segal was asked to present several sessions at the conference.

This year, Lenny served as the moderator and panelist on three different panels: (1) Implications for Minnesota’s Same Sex Marriage Law, which addressed the impact of Minnesota’s relatively new same sex marriage law on employment and benefits issues, family law and estate planning; (2) Cocktail Law: Learn Answers to the Questions You’ll Be Asked at Your Next Social Gathering, which included lawyers who primarily practice in the areas of employment law, family law and criminal law; and (3) Small Firm Practice Management: Common Pitfalls and Best Practices, which consisted of a panel of attorneys who are the managing partners of their small law firms.

This year, Lenny was joined by his partner, Jon Schindel, who was one of the panelists for the Small Firm Practice Management session.  Having recently implemented new timekeeping, billing and case management software at Segal Duffek Moen, Jon is well versed in the business of running a law firm.
